Growing Up Military

We are glad to have with us Donna Musil, the founder of the nonprofit Brats Without Borders, who wrote and directed the award-winning film Brats: Our Journey Home (www.bratsourjourneyhome.com). This film documented the “hidden American subculture” of more than 15 million people raised in the military system.

In her Monday morning session (9-10:15), Donna Musil will screen key scenes from the film and discuss her experiences working with military brats of all ages, including considerations of the ways in which today’s young (~18 and under) military kids—having grown up in a decade of war—might also be seen as veterans.

On Monday evening (6:30-8:00), we will screen the entire film, and Donna will be on-site to talk and answer questions afterward.
